How Quickly They Grow Up (like, in a matter of hours)

ChellBell woke early this morning with a level of excitement that she has not had in a while. Was it because of Ground Hog Day? Was it because she wanted to see if Punxsutawney Phil actually saw his shadow? Was the anticipation too much?

Absolutely Not. (Though she was excited to get a little glimpse of the rodent on the news this morning).

The driving force behind the excitement was actually Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana. Evidently, everyone who's anyone had a ticket in hand to see the 3-D Hannah Montana concert movie this weekend, which is only on screen for a matter of days.

Not being the cool Mom that I would like to believe I am, I was not even aware of this not-to-be-missed-or-life-would-be-over event. Fortunately one of my friends who does happen to have that enviable level of coolness, gave us the heads-up and asked if she could take ChellBell. So my daughter left the house (after a morning of listening to "The Best of Both Worlds" over and over and over) looking like this:

And returned a few hours later looking like this:

Our own little Hannah Montana, changing personas with very little warning. The rest of the day consisted of our own private Hannah Montana concert. I can't help but wonder if ChellBell had any concept of who Billy Ray Cyrus is and all about his Achy Breaky Heart if the singing would still continue (ugggh, you know that will be in my head the rest of the night).

And just so Miley doesn't overshadow all the important events of the day, the little ground hog DID see his shadow, so we have 6 more weeks of winter to endure. Although if today's 66 degree weather is the type of winter ahead, I think we'll all be just fine.
