Friend Makin' Monday - What's buggin' you?

Kasey over at All That is Good has this great tradition of kicking off the week with Friend Makin' Monday, and I'm always excited to see what topic she has chosen.  This week we get to vent a little bit... We're listing 5 things that, as Kasey says, "get us fuzzed up" -- essentially things that make us mad.

You know you want to get a few things off your chest, so pop over here to get started!

My natural tendency is to not let a lot of things bother me, but here are 5 things that really get my goat...

1.  When people will not let me merge onto the highway or into their lane, as if letting one more car in front of them will make them hours late to wherever they are going.

2.  When people have the chance to fix a problem, but they don't because they'd rather live with all of the drama that comes with having a problem.

3.  When people at the office throw their trash in my trash can (I seriously have a rule about this in my office -- everyone has their own trash can and should use it!  Anything that does not originate in my office does not go in my trash can.  This rule was created after someone put their banana peel in my trash can... Uggghh)

4.  When people don't RSVP -- even worse, they don't RSVP and they show up anyway.

5.  When people talk in the movie theater while I'm trying to watch the film.

Ahhh, that felt good to get off my chest.  Now tell me -- What bugs you???

  1. That was a great list! I sit in the front of the movie theater because I cannot stand it when people sit in front of me and talk! And it's usually a group of 12 year olds who talk through the entire film.

You make me laugh! Have a super week!

  4. Love your list. I agree with them all...let me over, RSVP (it's as simple as a phone call), and the trash (my desk is in an open area and people seem to think what's mine is there's)

  9. I could totally copy every one of those and just sign my name to it!! Except the trash can thing........I'm just happy if the people in my home actually use a trash can. I don't even care which one it is!

  10. I get so totally annoyed when people talk at the movie theatre. You wanna chit chat during a movie? Go watch it at your place and leave me alone. I get similarly annoyed when people talk to me when I'm watching a show at MY house. Especially when they're all "Is she the one thatdid it?" "Is he gonna die?" "What happened to her?" Yk what? I dunno because I'm watchin the same movie as YOU so shut it and let's just find out together, shall we? *deep breath* Phew.

  12. I agree with the RSVP thing. I thought it was just this part of the country. It is so annoying especially when there is food involved. How do you plan for those who are inconsiderate? Also, it pains me to listen to cell phones ring, and are answered in the movies, didn't they see the 2 minute segment on turning off their cell phones? What do people think, they are an exception? Thanks for your list. Have a good day and don't go to any movies!

  13. I don't think people know what RSVP means anymore. I always request people to RSVP and a few of my more considerate friends will, but 90% of the people never do. Very frustrating. I've noticed that traffic/driving related issues has been on a lot of people's lists. Great list!

Hope you have a great week!

  14. Movie Theatre talking is annoying. We went to a movie last week and a man kept tapping his feet through the WHOLE movie. We did not want to say anything because maybe there was something wrong with him;)

  15. Love your list and I think I can agree with all of them. I really like the RSVP! I am amazed that people don't respond, like they think we want to cook for 50 people, when we could have only cooked for 20. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for sharing. Hope you have a blessed Monday!

  16. Your #5!!! AMEN! I don't even like it when people talk during the trailers! At the price of a movie these days I want every. single. minute. of my theater experience. :-)

As for your #2... how do you know my sister?
oy! There's one in every family.

  18. I am so bad about whispering during movies. Of course since I only make it to the theater about once a year,(if I'm lucky) I suppose it's not that big of a deal. I do prefer to watch movies at home on DVD...and then get irritated with my kids who will talk during the movie. I am such a hypocrite. In my defense, they do not understand the concept of whispering at all.

How about when they RSVP yes and then don't show up...I have 4 extra treat bags for the kids who couldn't be bothered to let us know they weren't coming. Annoying!

  20. Hey sweet friend, I am tagging you in a fun game. Take a look at my latest entry to see what it is about. I know you are totally busy at work, so don't feel the pressure to do it right away. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
