Chris and I invited some friends over for dinner last night, and I figured that if I could keep 5 little girls' hands occupied, the adults would have more time to talk. Do you ever visit familyfun.com? They have the best ideas for seasonal crafts! Here are the cute Turkey Baskets the girls ended up making last night. I made one as a sample, and it will be going to ChellBell's teacher this week stuffed with homemade goodies!
Supplies:
A wooden kitchen spoon - make the turkey face on the back side of the spoon
Wooden skewers and different scrapbook papers for the feathers (glue the skewer between 2 pieces of paper)
Floral foam in the bottom of the basket - stick the feathers and spoon into the foam (I did have to hot-glue our turkey necks to the basket)
Cloth napkin to cover up the foam
Those are so adorable!
