Month-o-Love Day 6: traditions

Day 6: I heart...
Family Fun

Family traditions are the best -- those wonderful, memory-making things we do year after year.

Easter egg hunts, Breakfast with Santa, summer trips to the beach...   And the moment they are over, we start looking forward to the next year, where we get to do it all over again.

But a year is a long time to wait.  So we've come up with a weekly tradition.

Friday Family Fun night.

It involves eating dinner out and then coming home and watching a fun family film in our jammies with our favorite snacks.  Even the dogs get in on the action. Typically we all fall asleep in the TV room, so it ends up being a slumber party.

So, at our house, we definitely look forward to Fridays!

Well, gotta dash -- it's Madagascar 2 night.  And I like to move it-move it!

  1. What awesome memories you are making! I always look forward to Family Movie Night at our house too, though our lives haven't been normal enough to have an exact night per week. But it brings us all to the same place, laughin and cryin in the same spots (well, most of the time). Enjoy!

  2. That sounds so fun! We, too, love Family Fun nights, but they're not quite so set as yours. Good idea, though!

  4. We are just starting to do movie nights with our kids. Last night, it was The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. I am not a huge movie fan, but I do love watching movies with the kids.

I look forward to when we can do game nights with them also.
