Novel concept, isn't it? Telling our kids to dress up as something they are not, and then sending them door to door asking for food. I think come tax time next year, when the checking account looks a little lean, I'll send ChellBell door to door Trick-or-Treating for canned goods or maybe even a Roast -- think it will work? Although, looking at all the candy we got last night, we will be able to make meals of it until Halloween next year.
The big dog stayed at home last night to bark his big-mean-dog bark as the kids took candy out of the bowl on the front porch. The little dog went Trick-or-Treating with us and actually behaved himself. We offered him up as a Trick to several people, but there were no takers... What a Treat it would have been for us to come home with one less dog...
He had a great time sniffing the other dogs in the neighborhood, chewing on the dropped candy he found (plus a fake finger that was absolutely disgusting!), and going through ChellBell's candy when she wasn't looking.
Overall, a great night. Fun with friends. Fun with ChellBell (who did great with one functioning arm!). Definitely moments to hang on to...
